Rainbows and Puppies

Rainbows

The Smiling Daughter of the Storm ~ Charles Caleb Colton

Born of the shower and colored by the sun ~ Jean Charles Prince

God's glowing covenant ~ Hosea Ballou

God's illumined promise ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears ~ John Vance Cheney

When you reduce life to black and white, you never see rainbows ~ Rachel Houston

I took these photos this weekend when I had lunch with my son Jim and my daughter April at a truck stop restaurant just outside of Shafter. My daughter was heading home in her Uhaul with her puppy Chorizo. That's the puppy sticking his tongue out at my camera in the photo above.

Just as we got to the truck stop and stepped out of the car there was this incredible rainbow. Thankfully I had my camera with me! Be sure to click on the photos above to enlarge.

Please stop by A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday.
