Sunday Favorites - Books Read in 2009

I've really been trying to get my act together in 2011, but I've had a lot of distractions, mainly the cold and television :0(

I want to try to put together my list of books that I have read in 2010 so I thought it might motivate me to publish for my Sunday Favorites post an old post from January 4, 2010 in which I listed all the books I had read in 2009.

So here's my list and I hope to get my 2010 list done sometime this week. Please visit the lovely Chari of Happy to Design and see what other great "blasts from the past" others are sharing this Sunday!

  2. Enjoyed seeing your book list for 2009 and see that I have read some of the same books. I did like The Lovely Bones. As for the Twlight series, I only read the first one and only purchased it because I had run out of things to read & needed a long book for a flight home from Australia. For a good vampire series, it has to be Anne Rice.

I am visiting from Chari's Sunday Favorites, looked through many of your past book reviews will look forward to reading your future reviews.

  6. I must admit I read only non-fiction books such as biographies, books of general knowledge, and especially 'how to books'-books that teach me how to do certain useful things.
Good Luck with your reading list in 2011!

  7. Amanda @ Serenity Now - Lovely Bones was even made into a movie. I haven't seen it but I understand it didn't follow the books very well. It was a difficult story to follow.

  8. Honey at 2805 - I really enjoyed the Twilight series even though I really disliked Bella! My daughter loaned me the books so I figured since the whole world was going gaga for Twilight I might as well climb aboard as well.

  10. Climb2Nowhere - I'm glad it gave you some ideas for reading material. I tend to buy lots of books simply because where I buy them at they're only like 80cents a piece so they are very varied. Happy Reading in 2011!

  12. DUTA - I love to read biographies, but I have to read so much at work, boring insurance policies and such that when I do read at home I just want something to take me away from the day to day. But I'm glad you read the type of books that you do because I know you share so much of your knowledge with your readers!

  13. Hi Alicia...

Wow...you compliled a great list of book reads here, my friend! One of my favorite authors is Nicholas Sparks...I love all of his books! I must admit that I don't read like I used to...although I get plenty of reading through all my blogs! My eyes just aren't what they used to be. I have been considering laser surgery but I'm not even sure that I would be a candidate for that procedure yet.

Well dear lady, it was sooo nice to have you for the Sunday Favorites repost party this week! This was a great complilation of good books...thanks for sharing your list with us!

    Warmest wishes,
    Chari @Happy To Design
