Tonight...in less than 30 minutes it's the premiere of American Idol!I know American Idol has become somewhat of a joke and no one who is cool still watches it...but hey, call me uncool then cause I love it!
I know there are a lot of people who try out just to get their 15 minutes of fame. I know there are a lot of people who just want to throw a tantrum and curse and make obscene gestures and I don't like watching them.
But I do love watching those that sincerely have a God given talent and just need a chance, an opportunity, a break!
I love seeing all the hope and talent.I love seeing all the support given to these individuals by their families and loved ones. It gives me hope and it lightens my heart. It makes me smile and gives me the opportunity to sing along.
So tonight, even though Simon Cowell won't be there...I will. Will you?
I guess I'm uncool too cause I'm watching it too! I've watched since it started so I can't stop now! :) I like Jennifer Lopez...she so sweet!

Denise@alloverroses - Yay!!! A Kindred spirit. I love Jennifer too. It cracked me up when she whispered to Randy, "C'mon...give her a golden ticket!" Lol...I think it's going to be a great season!

ReplyDeleteDonnie - That's it exactly. There are a lot of phoney baloney's there, but I do love the ones that are there for the right reasons and truly do have talent and deserve a chance.
ReplyDeleteI was at the premiere too and I must say that I really like Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as judges. I think they make a great addition, even though I was expecting to be disappointed. Jennifer Lopez is so sweet and pretty. I think it's a good mix. Can't wait till Hollywood week.
