I Hope I Can Move Tomorrow

Spent the day doing yard work...lots and lots of yard work!

Trimmed down all the bushes, trees, rose bushes; mowed the lawn, edged the lawn, cleaned the weeds in the alley and I'm bushed!

Now I didn't do this all on my own...I had my crew; my mom, my son and his friend Frank. But even with all four of us it was hard and dirty job. But it's done and other than having to trim this huge tree in the backyard...the one with the bees; I don't have to worry until spring.

So how was your weekend?

  1. Don't you just feel so good after all that hard work? Now all you have to do is take a step into your backyard and just sit back and relax with a nice cold drink in your hand! I would! Lovely shady tree!

  2. What a beautiful tree, and you sure did a beautiful job! You fully deserve, as Oliva said, to sit bak and relax with a drink in your hand.

  3. Hi Alicia. Thanks for visiting my blog. No, I didn't add anything to the applesauce, but you certainly could add cinnamon if you wanted to.

  8. Stine in Ontario - Oh no Honey! I'm done. Trust me...lol. I can barely move today. Actually I was ok til about 3pm. I've taken some Aleve and I've got my warm blankie, so that should help. Maybe I can help you next weekend :-)

  9. What kind of tree is it? It looks like there are multiple trunks at the bottom. Is it a hemlock? Is it a maple??

    Okay...I'm out.

  10. But doesn't it feel good to get it all done?!

  11. Kathryn,
I have no idea what kind of tree. It's weird cause the trunk does look like multiple trunks, but I think it's just cause it's splitting. I would like to say it's a walnut tree cause I live on Walnut Street, but if it is a walnut it's a non-fruit bearing one.

  12. Lynn,
It did feel sooooooooo good to be done! I guess it wouldn't be so much work if I did a little bit every weekend, but you know how that does. Thanks for becoming a follower! :-)

  13. Ah, there's nothing like good old fashion yard work to make you feel accomplished. Great job.
