The Hurrier I Go, The Behinder I Get!

Today when it was 12 noon and time to go to lunch my co-worker had to tell me. Good thing too otherwise I would just have kept working away!
I couldn't believe it! It seemed like I'd only just gotten here a few minutes ago and I hadn't even made a dent in the work I have to get done today.

That's an actual picture of me over there on the left! Ok, well, maybe that's not really me, but the only reason that isn't me is because we are paperless. But imagine if every email in my in box were printed and placed on my desk it would look just like this picture. And it's only Tuesday!

There is just no way that I can get all this stuff done. What I wouldn't give for "back in the day" when you could just stick something in a file and say you never got it...now there's a paper trail! Can you believe it? A paper trail when you're paperless???

How's your week going so far?

  1. Funny picture indicating a not very funny situation.

I had a period in my life after recovering from a major illness that I decided to apply for a kind of work with no people and no..papers.
I got a 'solo' job which was to check and supervise the functioning of certain devices in the communication field. It was not well-paid, but it saved my life at that time and taught me the importance of avoiding stress and overwork.

Good Luck with getting the stuff in your office done!

  2. BIG sympathy from me. I, too, spent an entire day handling paper and never got to the end of it. On one hand we're admonished to save resources and on the other we need that paper trail. We're sunk!

  3. As lousy as your day was, I assure you mine was worse. I had a both ends intestinal bug. Rather amazing paper trail from that as well. Better now, but very washed out and weak.

I used to hate the days where you worked your butt off and everything you touched turned to pooh and you went backward rather that forwards. Hope today is a better day for you.

  4. So far so good, Alicia. You asked about mace. It is the outer hull of nutmeg and it has a more peppery taste than nutmeg. If you can;t find it just substitute with more nutmeg. Have a great evening. Blessings...Mary
