Books Read in 2013

I think in the coming year I'm going to have to sleep a whole lot less! I had set a goal of 30 books to read this year!

30 books and I only managed to read 18! What happened to me in 2013? In 2009 and 2010 I read 24 books each year. In 2011 I read 29 books. 2012 I had set a goal of 30 but only read 26...but 18? Wow! What a slacker!

I guess other things were more important in 2013.

So I will set a new goal for 2014 and see if I can't do better. It's not that I've lost my love of reading, just life getting in the way. So maybe I will set a more realistic goal of 20 this year.

Here's a list of the books I read this year...

Ok, off to read a book! Are you reading any good books lately? Or do you have a recommendation?

    1. Which one did you read? To tell you the truth, of all the ones I read the only ones I remember are The Host...love that one and this was the third time I read it. And the other was Wicked, that one was just ok.

  3. Well with the crappy events last year for you, I am surprised that you got as many done as you did.

I disagree with your first graphic. Sleep more, read more. Less computer and TV time. Good sleep is the stomping ground of the Soul...we need to keep them happy or they can abandon us with rather unhappy results.

I read 43 books which sounds OK until you consider that I am retired. I should have put away a lot more books and spent less time on the computer.

    1. Very true. You would think that spending almost all my time in hospitals and convalescent homes that I would have had time to read, but I spent that time listening to my dad tell the same stories over and over and over and I wish he were here so I could listen to them all again!

Definitely less time on the computer and tv. I have been turning off the TV until 8pm and then I only watch whatever show I've chosen and try to turn it off again by 9 or 9:30 so that I can read until 10 or 10:30.

But definitely being that you are retired you should have read double the amount you did...hahaha. As you read though you probably makes notes and stuff so you can review the books. I just read them then forget them!
